Pump/Pipe and open channel loop 2

I am working on an interactive display for an exhibit at a museum. I am creating a river flow channel. It consists of a re-circulating system with the pump and pipe system under the channel and a close to rectangular cross section for the river channel above.

I need to calculate the pressure drop for the system.

I am trying to size the pump and pipe system.

Any suggestions???

Details:
-10ft long, 2.666ft wide, and 0.5ft deep channel.
-PVC piping
-Required flow rate 0.22 ft/s in channel
-Must be a single phase powered pump

So, that's about 130 gpm.
A 3",STD piping, 10' long (straight with no fittings) will require a pump discharge pressure of about 34 psig.
 
I appreciate the quick response. This system is a little bit more complicated. I attached a few screen shots in MS Word to see what is going on more. The large block in the piping system is the pump and the small one is the filter.

Also as I increase the pipe size will this allow me to decrease the pump size?

What equations would I use to calculate pressure drop from the pipe to the channel and the channel back into the pipe?

Disregard the pressure I stated above.
