What version of NX are you running? If you're running NX 8.0 or NX 8.5, then simply use a TrueType font and the Windows 'Character Map' tool to 'Copy & Paste' the '®' symbol into the NX text editor.

And if you're running something older than NX 8.0, try using BLOCKFONT and entering a '$z' in the NX text editor.

I am on NX 7.5, Thanks for your help. Is there a list of these shortcuts located somewhere perhaps in the NX documentation?

NX 7.5.5.4

Here is a list of the symbols supported in BLOCKFONT:

And then there are the Common Symbols which do not depend on a particular NX font:

Of course starting with NX 8.0/8.5 most all of these have been replaced by the use of TrueType libraries.

Simon,

I see you've taken my extended version of BLOCKFONT and have added your own 'extension'. Of course, with the advent of NX suppoport for TrueType and OpenType fonts (starting with NX 8.0) including 'artwork' as a note will be much easier.

Hi John

Yes, we are looking forward to upgrading back end of the year to 8.5, we did have to create a number of custom symbols which was pain, but works quite well. [thumbsup2]

Best regards
