Is there a good system, standard, or publicaion for QA/QC in Construction? ISO 9000 doesn't help me much in this area. Thoughts?

You can find several good QA/QC Plans out there if you search the net. Some are for highway construction. I will try to find some URL's for you later - but I got them basically by googling.

ASCE came out with a manual in the 80's entitled "Quality in the Constructed Project" as a response to the Hyatt Regency (Kansas City MO) and the Kemper Arena disasters.

I don't know if it's still in print or if it has been updated.

The Design and Construction Division of ASQ published their interpretation of the ISO 9001:2000 quality management systems standard for design and construction project teams. Pay particular attention to Appendix 1 if you are developing the management system for use and improvement by the team. Copy and paste this link:
Sorry, if you've got it twice, the attachment did not show in the preview.
