When i check the help file for BEAM4’s Item and Sequence Numbers, do i only find commando for the bending stress in y and z axis (SBYT, SBZT) not in x have I missed something.

Thank you for any help given!

hi

You can get shear stress by using the element table.

hi again

Sorry ignore my first post something went wrong

But if you will look at the text under the tabel 4.1

SHEARZ goes with IZZ; if SHEARZ = 0, there is no shear deflection in the element Y direction.

SHEARY goes with IYY; if SHEARY = 0, there is no shear deflection in the element Z direction.

Ixx of a beam does not exist naturally.

I see, thank you for the information it is appreciated!, i think i know what to do now
