R&D ideas for structural engineering 10

Hello everyone,

Large open question:
If your company was able to give you a lot of money to launch one or more R&D programs focused on structural engineering, what subject would you like see on the list?

I'd vote for researching the strength of anchor bolts in masonry with respect to the masonry crushing failure mode in shear. This always controls by a long shot. A higher value would definitely ease some design woes.

I would go with an in depth cost benefit analysis of making the top flange of NU girders 2" thicker.
