Rack and pinion help needed

Hello
I'm trying to build a motion simulation that contains rack and pinion. Well, I think that the attached drawing explains it good enough. The problem I have is related to the slider joint. How should I set it up (BASE link, origin and orientation) to make it work properly with the Rack and Pinion Coupler? If I leave Base section of Slider joint empty, whole mechanism freezes.
