Hey all,

I have an undocumented raised floor system that a client wants to put new equipment on. The style used in data centers, etc. I've done this before and I basically have to measure all the sections, treat them as cold formed steel sections and then validate the capacity.

I then generally have to either make an educated guess on the panels themselves or put something over them.

Has anyone had better luck with these things? Is there a design guide or document that I'm not aware of that would give a good reference. I doubt it, but it's always worth an ask.

For raised floor systems, I typically rely heavily on the manufacturer's test data for panel capacity, pedestal capacity, and attachment to the slab capacity (if epoxy). You should be able to calculate a code appropriate testing capacity using the ADM and AISC guidance.
