In Ram Advanse, for wood design, I am getting Ratio = NPC under Code Check / Stress Ratio
I am guessing that mean Nail Plate Connection required? Anybody know for sure.
(Bentley doesn't answer questions without paying extra)

RAM often answers questions. See if you can find an email adress on the RAM website. I've had them answer questions for me without them asking about my Bently maintenance plan.

What are you trying to model? If you are just checking a beam, I doubt that NPC beams nail plate connection. Check your wood design settings.

I am modeling a large house lumber gable type roof frame. Roof Rafters, collar ties, ceiling joists, etc.

NPC also appears on steel design code check, so its not nail plate connection. Maybe its "Not Permitted by Code", because these stress ratio's exceed 1 or 1.33 and are shown as "NG" on the Code check graphic, but NPC appears on the stress ratio's graphic.

Ram used to answer simple questions like this one, but now Bently seems to have imposed maintenance agreement checks before you can even email to tech support.

Wood:
NPC: Not Possible to Calculate. The denominator of the second and/or third terms of Eq. 3.9-3 (NDS 1997) takes a negative or zero value
- Axial load exceeding Euler buckling capacity of member is a probable cause

Steel:
NPC: Not Possible to Calculate.
The denominator of the second and/or third terms of Eq. H1-1 (AISC ASD 1989) takes a negative or zero value
Tension or compression with axial load exceeding Euler buckling capacity of member is a probable cause
