Does anyone know how much a single license for Ram Structural Systems V8i costs?

I think $3200, but I would contact them direct for a quote. Sometimes thats the best way.

I'll try to get you a more exact answer, but it will depend on which of the modules your are interested in:
Ram Steel - for gravity steel member design
Ram Frame - for lateral analysis and design
Ram Concrete - for concrete beam, column and wall design
Ram Foundation - for spread footings, pile caps and strip footings.

I called about this a few weeks ago and I received a verbal quote for RAM Steel (beam design), RAM Column (column design), RAM Frame (lfrs analysis) and RAM Foundation (foundations) of around $5,000-$7,000 for the four. Then to continue on with updates you will have to shell out something like $1000-$2000/year. Otherwise if a few years you will be spending another $5-$7k to upgrade when they change the code.

All of these were rough estimates from the conversation I had with the rep and numbers were flying around like crazy so they may not be exactly correct. You would be best to call.

I wonder how much business software companies lost during the economic downturn.
