Range of best drive slip of racing tires

I'm searching for some Information about the range of the best drive slip of racing tires to optimize a racecar tractioncontrol system.

A diagramm

coefficient of static friction = f(drive slip)

or something would be fine...

10-30% for a production tire, but it is very dependent on a host of things.

Any flat track test data will be useless because the track surface you actually run on will have a big effect.

It's very easy to calculate slip ratio and plot force against it from a data logger.

I'd do this. Anything you'll find in books or papers will be of academic interest only.

Well, I think I'll try to get some data from my tire manufacture. The support is quite good there.

My TC contains up to 12 mappings, so I can try different slip ratios quite easily during a track test and have a closer look at the logged data.

We'll see... ;-)
