Hi all, so i have a flat sheet of metal that I'll be cutting a design out of to make an artistic screen for a vent.I am designing this in SW. Im curious to find out how to analyze how much of the material ive removed. So if my goal is 50% of this piece of sheet metal open/cut out for airflow How can i calculate that? Then I guess I can take this into cosmos flowworks and analyze it further? but before I go to that distance I want to see if I have the design correct to let enough air go through? Thanks in advance for the advice. -ethan kerber

Assuming you're cutting all the way through the sheet you can just compare surface area. I believe if you choose a surface and then go to Tools->Measure it will give you surface area.
