Reactor Question

I am most familiar with power system reactors to limit short circuits on a power line. However, I have a question on a reactor in 3 phase circuit. This reactor is on the ac side of a 375kva phase inverter (dc to ac) and is rated at 200 uH, 541A). I suspect that this is there to filter prior to a step up transformer.

Does this reactor provide any short circuit current limiting or is the design such that it is more of a filtering device with limited short circuit limiting ability?

If it has an impedance it limits downstream fault currents. How much it limits the fault current is determined by how its impedance relates to the rest of the source impedance.
 
Thank you. Is it possible that the short circuit current can be limited to less than the full load amps?
