Hi,

I'm looking for good reads on the consolidation topic. I want to master the topic. Do you guys have any recommendation for me to read more about the topic? Books, articles, studies, etc.

Intro to Soil Moduli Briaud

John Atkinson Non Linear Soil Stiffness

Any basic geotechnical textbook section on Consolidation - Das Fundamentals of Geotechnical Engineering, Craig's Soil Mechanics, VNS Murphy, etc.

FHWA Site Investigation Manual, Chapter 6

Navfac Soil Mechanics, Chapter 5 and 6

US Army Corps of Engineers Settlement Manual

If you can, get access to a database of geotechnical papers via your university of membership in a goetechnical society (eg. If you are a member of the canadian geotechnical society you have access to a huge database of papers from the canadian geotechnical journal - search up consolidation.

There's also a good paper on soil moduli by John Michael Duncan but it's behind a paywall

Good luck!

Start with the classics....Terzaghi, Casagrande, Tschebotarioff and work your way up to present geotech gurus. Consolidation is interrelated to other geotechnical aspects so don't get so focused on consolidation that you miss the impact of and on other soil parameters.
