Does anyone have any references or knowledge for lateral design values for bolts through wood structural panels (OSB or plywood). The specific application is a bolted OSB gusset as a repair on a wood truss.

Chapter 12 of NDS contains tables, as well as the design equations if your situation falls outside of the tables. For OSB, NDS allows a Specific Gravity of 0.50. Plywood requires a specific gravity of 0.42 unless you know the species used in the panel, or the material is graded Struct_1.

To elaborate on the good advice given above, limited properties for plywood and OSB are given in Table 12.3.3B of NDS 2018. Additional information can be found in AWC Technical Report No. 12, Table A1 (of the Appendix). That report is essentially the basis of the lateral design requirements found in the NDS code.

APA (American Plywood Association) also has a document E825 with potentially relevant information.

Thanks everyone. All those resources were good. I was hoping there would be a helpful table somewhere but I just had to use the Yield Limit equations which was a good exercise.
