Hello, colleagues
Due to an accident during the transport of a pressure vessel, a nozzle was impacted which resulted in the bending of the tube located between the flange and the shell of this vessel.
Does the ASME code allow the alignment of this nozzle to be restored through the use of heat and the application of mechanical force?
Is there an angular limit beyond which such correction is no longer permitted?
I didn't find anything about it either in the ASME code or in the NBIC.
Any help will be very useful.
All the best,
Fernando
