Required experience for PE exam 6

Hi,
I just passed the EIT (Oct,2005)and I also have a Master degree in electrical engineering.
I know that I have to have 4 years of experience inorder to take the PE exam. some states consider the Master as 1 year of experience. Anyone know a state that gives 2 years of experience for the Master degree or has a less restrictions on the years of experience.
I am trying to take the PE as sooon as I can

JTK: Agree, Agree, Agree! "Way Back When" you had to have eight (8) years of certifiable EXPERIENCE to sit for the PE exam. Then along came the ABET colleges and then most states gave four (4) years credit in lieu of experience for the BS from an ABET. So you only needed 4 years of EXPERIENCE. Now with a Masters (I agree with the big head comment even though I have one) you only need three (3) years EXPERIENCE to sit. And soon, with a PhD, you will only need two (2) years EXPERIENCE to sit the exam. Is the PhD or Masters a better engineer? A better Scientist perhaps but most overschooled technical types I have known are usually very impractical w.r.t real life engineering. POWER2006: Cant agree with you. the PE is not an entry level training position. It used to be and still should be recognition for achievement and a level of excellence. All Thru Ranting. The world changes. Most of the old Master PE's are gone now. I make my living by giving on the job training to new PE's.
