Required Steam Calculation

Hi
Please help. I want to calculate how much steam required to evaporate 27,000 kg/hr water.
Feed: 60% Water, 40% CaCl2
flowrate: 70,000 lb/hr

Product: 40% Water, 60% CaCl2
Steam condition: 23 Barg steam

I think you'll have more than 60% CaCl2 if you evaporate 27,000 kg/hr of water out of a feed stream of 70,000 lb/hr.

DOW has a nice handbook on CaCl2 that you can download off the Internet. That and your steam tables should give you what you need.
 
Just love the mixed units, imperial and metric. A minor point but what is hte feed temperature and expected outlet temperature of the mixture?

sorry water removal rate is 27,000 lb/hr.
Feed temperature is 45 C. The outlet temperature is not fix.
