Requirements for Subsize Impact Specimens in PQR as per API 650

Dear Experts,

I am seeking clarification regarding the impact testing requirements for Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) as outlined in API 650, specifically Section 9.2.2.5.

We recently conducted impact testing using subsize specimens measuring 7.5 x 10 mm and obtained a value of 26J for P1 G2 material. However, the acceptance criteria according to API 650 9.2.2.5 is 27J.

Could you please confirm if there is any relaxation or allowance for subsize specimens in this context? If such allowances exist, could you provide guidance on where this information is detailed or any applicable references?
