When a phosphor bronze such as C510 is re-melted as scrap, does most of the phosphorus burn up by the time melting temperature is reached? The reason I ask is that I was wondering about phosphorus levels building up if a phosphor bronze was melted, again de-oxidized with phosphorus shot, cast, and the process repeated. Assume that 50% "new" C510 scrap is used each time, and disregarding the tin levels, etc. Thanks!
