Hi ,

I am designing a concrete beam- column rigid frame for a 5 story timber building to resist the wind load. I am not planning on having pinned connections at the foundation level so in a sense only the top & bottom of the concrete columns and beams are taking the moment. Is linear analysis sufficient for this type of a condition or would you guys also do a nonlinear check as well ?

Thanks in advance !

You will want to account for p-delta effects somehow.
