I'm trying to engineer a frame consisting of very small (3mm wide X 3mm deep) sides. The asembled frame will be wrapped in clear mylar film that will be heat shrunk to a moderate tension. Frames will be 500mm x 400mm.

Looking for suggestions on the material to use for the frame pieces. In other words, what is the most rigid material (plastic/carbon fiber/etc) I can use that won't bend under mylar tension at a max length of 500mm??
Thanks!

Uh... I think you mean modulus.and CFP (Carbon Fibre rienforced Plastic) is likely going to have teh highest modulus....but only in the direction of the fibre lay.

Do you have any idea as to how strong and stiff of a material you need?

Basically I need way more information to give any reasonable information/advice.
