Hi everyone,
I am running post-buckling analysis to investigate the stability response of an isolated column. There are two "step": Static,General(Step 1) with axial force on top and Static, RIKS (Step 2) with horizontal displacement on top of column. Once the column starts to buckle in RIKS analysis, Time/LPF Inc. is changing to negative value (Arc Length is almost constant) and horizontal displacement is reversed!!! As I need to look at the column response in post-buckling range, top displacement should reach to the target displacement that I specified but this does not happen?
I do not really understand the issue regarding the RIKS analysis.
Anyone can give me some suggestion?
Thanks in advance.
