Dear all,

I want to take product quality samples from a piping system where pressures go up 100 bar (at 90 gradC). Does anybody has experience with fluid sampling valves / methods at high pressures? How can I take a save product sample?

Thanks!
MVD

Put an orifice or limit the valve opening to create high pressure gradient which will lead you to your required sampling flow.

Take a look at the Parker Hannifin or Swagelok websites.

There are several industry leaders in sampling. Just to introduce a level playing field, Cliff Mock out of Houston gives a vast array of sampling techniques, field support and North American sales. They can be reached at telephone number (281) 821-1595.

In particular, their isokinetic samplers are industrial leaders in comparison to others in the field. The trade name "Tru Cut" comes to mind.

Consult CCI valves - control components Inc. - California -001-949-858-1877 - visit ccivalve.com.
They make sampling (analyser)valves which can be used even at inlet pressures 6000 psi (approx.400bar)and downstream pressure as low as atmosperic.

This may be a bit late, judging from the dates on all the other messges.

On my current project we have had good success with a double block and bleed sample probe made by Alco Hi-Tek.

The company website for Alco is:

Thanks !

Hi there,
As some one mentioned above double block and bleed I would make it more specific of my choice; a valve based on 2 valve desgin, consiting of two shut of valves (block valves and one test porst); its not a three valve manifold;
its available from Parker hannifn; will realy work well on your budget!! Post your choice later on..
