NX 8.5.3.3

If I create a note in drafting , go to the settings of the text , change the font type, color etc and then save that as a favorite. when I reapply the same text using the favorite tab the text has lost all the settings and reverts to system defaults.

Is there something I am doing wrong? Is there an alternative way to this?

Basically I want to save text to a certain size and color and quickly apply it as a note in various drafting files.

Thanks

hi,

1.First create the Save Favourite using

Dialog Options > select Save Favorite As .

Now your saved 'Save Favorite As' dialog box is displayed.

2.Now You can do the changes of your 'Note' and again save it as Favourite.

Thanks,
Mathi K

Hi Mathi ,

Thanks for the reply ,

That was the way i was trying to do it but it just seems to retain the text as a favorite and not the settings.

Why not create a group for your note?
Uploaded is a video to show how you do that.
You can then copy & paste the group (past with a Control V) into other loaded parts.
Personally I would create your a group for each of your preferred font setting in your drawing templates.
Then when you create a new drawing using your drawing template, you can just turn on the notes you want when required.

Thanks for the video,
It would be a good idea to create groups and turn them on as suggested,
I am using a macro for the note as a workaround at the moment. It works fine but I will look into using the note as a group in a template.

Thanks again for taking the time to do the video.
