Sorry, but Catia isn't going to do that for you. There is a downward compatibility function in the Batch Utilities, but the result is a dumb solid. It's not much more useful than a STEP file. More information on how or why you need this could help point to a better solution though.
Our customer sent us a parametric model in R18. Our designer was asked to make several changes to the model, but did it in R19 not realizing the file was created in R18. The customer has asked for the parametric model back. I didnt think there was any way, just thought I'd ask.
Well, when your designer redo the work in R18, it will be a very fast redesign...
Has anyone tried cut/copy and paste between different Catia versions running in parallel? I'll try...
I would suggest to those which has more CATIA versions installed on their computer to replace CATIA default background with a picture with release number, written in big letters.
No joke, I've tried to put this info in CATIA window (upper left corner) and it seems is not enough.....
To go from solid to script....better rework (if part is not so complicated) or save as igs and reuse what can be reused...surfaces, get points , a.s.o.....
Great idea, but didn't work. I get an error "try another selection". I tested the powercopy in the same version and it works so I know it's the downward capability that is causing the error.
