I'm trying to locate the correct ASME spec that calls out dimensioning sizes; ie arrow head sizing, dimension line spacing, note leader lengths...etc. I'm pretty sure that I have seen it stated somewhere in the past and have searched Y14.5-1994 with no luck. Any ideas what spec I'm looking for, or if it even exists?

Thanks

I have been searching ASME, google and everywhere in-between. I've even tried local libraries without luck. Problem is that I just wanted to find the correct spec to purchase without it being trial and error to find the right one. I appreciate the effort and for pointing me in the right direction. Yeah I have been browsing that forum and figured that this would be the best forum since it is an ASME issues forum.

Thanks

Some of those Y specifications are among those still listed as ANSI. Check IHS.com.

Then I would suggest not hijacking a thread, but starting a new one. Also consider using capital letters (that would involve using the "Shift" key) and other punctuation. After all, though this is an internet forum, it is also "for engineering professionals" who tend to communicate more "professionally."
