Here's my challenge: I am searching for a net or mesh material (approx 6mm) that is water and heat resistant for dishwasher use. It should also be heavy and flexible enough to conform to another object's shape. ANY IDEAS? Who manufactures something like this? Many thanks, LisaC

Have you thought of using a woven glass scrim? You may need a hydrophobic finish to protect it from steam damage which can occur at surprisingly low temperatures in the right/wrong conditions (we have seen it as low as 200°C)but otherwise temperature should not be a problem.

The main glass weavers in Europe are Interglas Technologies , Porcher and Hexcel. If you are in the US, I'm afraid my knowledge of American weavers is not so good but you could try JP Stevens, Hexcel or BGF.

Personally, I would recommend contacting Interglas at Sherbourne, Dorset, UK as I have always found them to be very helpful and knowledgeable (and no I don't work for them [smile]!).

Many thanks, EdCollinson, for your very helpful suggestions! I will check them out right away.
