I guess you could call it a 'Warning' but in reality it's just information about something that happened, of in this case didn't happen, that is that there will be no 'Section Line' symbol. As for whether this is bug or not, it's more of a situation where we haven't quite finished all the details this 'warning' is there so as to tell you that we're aware of this and therefore there is no need to open a PR.

I can't say when, but the Drafting people are aware of the need for this, but they have their own priorities when it comes to funding future projects. You can certainly 'help' them with their decision making process by contacting GTAC and have them open an ER (Enhancement Request) asking that this issue be given serious consideration.

John,
If you look in the part navigator the section lines are being placed on layer 257!
In NX this layer does not exist, if you select them use the move command and place them on the correct layer you good to.
As for the section letters you need to either suppress the view break and copy them and then unsuppress from part navigator.
This information should add your drafting code writer's to correct issue easily.

That's true, but if you look at the newly visible Section Line (after performing the operations outlined by ADJ1) it's only properly proportioned for the original unbroken view, which is WHY the user was told that the Section line was being 'hidden'. In other words, it's NOT correct, and that's the issue that we looking to address with some future release and which could be expedited a bit if enough people opened ER's to that effect.

John,
Your right, and if you close and reopen saved part section will migrate right back to layer 257. {So not data bankable as stable part!}
I needed a work around to keep moving just like some other users.
There been 4 PR's opened turned to ER's since April and this not fixed yet.
This August no path yet!

Respectfully Glen

Since NX 10.0 is all but finished (and it's not addressed there), your next earliest possible opportunity will be NX 11.0. But keep those 'cards & letters' coming in...
