Hi All,
I am looking at feasibility of using an interference fit to hold an injection molded part in relation to a steel shaft. This assembly does not need an extremely high retention force, but it must withstand 121degrees C without relaxing below that low retention force.
Does anyone have any information about the strain relaxation of ultem? Will it's relaxation accelerate at that temp, or is ultem impervious until.
What is a good minimum strain (or stress!) to avoid if I want to avoid creep all together?
thanks!
