Hello, i m revising a number of subjects, actually, self taughting my self structure design. I am confused about which subject I should go first, Concrete structures or steel structures ? or structural analysis? any tips from senior design engineers

That depends what you’re most interested in. Have you received a degree already and are brushing up? Or are you coming at this completely from scratch?

My opinion you will need a strong base in structural analysis and design of a material. Steel might be the most intuitive of the choices and easier to grasp at first.

@MEGASTRUCTURES THANKS FOR WRITING , yes I am a graduate civil engineer (2015-19), I can't say much about the basics to be honest. I passed all my structure design subjects with a "C" grade (just managed to pass). currently, I am an assistant to a chartered engineer, don't want to go for post-graduation and slove illogical numericals so I decided to revise the course on my own.

I'm studying for the IL S.E. exam and I've been out of school a long time. What I'm finding is that I've had to go back to the basics (statics, mech & materials, and structural analysis) and relearn a lot to be able to better understand some of the more advanced items in steel and concrete. I'm not sure the same will apply to you, but the basics can't ever really hurt.
