Hello I am trying to create a semi-stiff connection between 2 nodes but having difficult.

Currently I can simulate a fixed connection by using the beam connector, and a pinned connection by using JOIN+ROTATION connection type. However I want to implement a semi stiff connection.
Just something simple like if it reaches a certain moment then it fails and the moment transfer goes to 0.

sounds like you need to use a nonlinear rotational spring element.

How would you create this nonlinear rotational spring element?

Connectors allow for a whole variety of behaviors, including nonlinear elasticity, plasticity and even damage, among others. They are currently the recommended features for such applications and classic spring elements are usually considered obsolete.
