I know I have this somewhere but can't find it. I have a .75 Eurodrive gearmotor with the "really common" brake on it. Unfortunatley I can't find any numbers on it. It is the brake that has the manual release setscrew and lever, and is adjusted by measuring the gap with the brake released, and adjusting the 3 nuts (after removing the fan cover and the big rubber band covering the brake area). I'm looking for a written adjustment procedure and the correct gap setting for a small unit such as this one. The brake has the single 2-sided disc and the coil is powered through the rectifier in the JB. Hope this is enough info. Thanks!

Hi SED...I wish I had the part number. I've been to the Eurodrive site, but can't narrow it down. I've seen hundreds of these and that's why I say they are really common...but can't get to another one in the near future. Hoping someone knows which model I am referring to. Thanks!

I know exactly the brake type you are desctribe its a type BM/BMG You need to contact SEW direct. They have a brochure available free of charge that details adjustment and serving methods for all their brake designs. I have just been looking for my copy but it has been "Borrowed".
Their UK phone number is 44(0)1924-893855.

stardelta...that's it!! I think I can find this online now.

Hi

If you look very close around the terminal box area of the stator (on the stator generally at the fan area) you should see a pt no sometimes stamped on the older units etched on it will need to be very clean to see it. Contact your nearest SEW company they will be able to tell you the motor model form this thus allowing you to identify the brake model.
