Shallow caisson and ties beams

Hello,
I am designing foundation for a warehouse where the level of bedrock is relatively high. Approximately 10 to 15 ft from the final grade.
We will use caisson diameter from 3 to 4 ft. socketed 4 feet into bedrock. I was wondering if i still need to use ties beams considering that caisson are shallow and could act as cantilever columns for lateral loads?

I would use an exterior grade beam around the perimeter of the building to provide a suitable base detail for your exterior walls.

If you have fairly weak soil and socket the caissons into bedrock, they will act as cantilevers whether or not you tie them together. Adding tie beams will simply make the caissons respond as a system rather than individually. Also, if you are following IBC and are in SDC C (I believe) or higher you may be required to add tie beams.
