Im working in a tilt-up project as an in site supervisor. Almost every panel is developing cracks, some of them diagonales others horizontal, even in the connections and in the oppenings, few of them penetrated a cosiderated depth of the panel.. Just wondering if anybody has had any similar experience about this.. because I'm starting a new proyect soon and I want to get rid of all those cracks.
Here is some info about the panels..
- solid concrete walls 36' heigh and 22' width
- 18' heigh and 27' width with insulation boards with conectors and casting was at the same day (this panels presented more cracks than the other)
- concrete had enough strengh when lifted and steel was placed correctly
- concrete f'c 4ksi with aceleration 80% strenght in 48hrs and 5.5 in slump
- all the panels hacve welded connections in the foundation and in the top of the panel with the structure at the top of the panel
Thanks you! I will Appreciate all comments
