Sheet Body > Sew > Midsurface

I'm importing a STEP file into NX 8.0. The file is imported as a lot of sheet bodies. The plan is to create midsurfaces and then do the analysis. I believe I have to create solid bodies from the sheet bodies, and then do the midsurface. Is there any shortcut to do this? Is there a way to create midsurfaces from sheet bodies for example? Also, how can I make NX to actually sew sheets into solid bodies during the import process? I am increasing the modeling tolerance but it does not help.

Without actually seeing at least a representative example of the type of data that you're working with and what it is that you're trying to have as an end result, it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to give you any kind of meaningful advice as to how to proceed.

If you expected a solid but all you are getting is a bunch of sheet bodies from a STEP file, either the wrong export options were used, or the source geometry has problems.
