Hi,

I am trying to make a part from from my flat layout, the material is 6mm Lexan. I am using NX10.

I want to bend the 2 middle flanges up and the other flanges on both ends down, they both need to be inside the 12" tab I created.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

John

I don't have NX 10, so I can't try, or see what it looks like, but I'd try "Bend", and keep my bend line so it only crosses the flange section.

I'd probably first try just adding flanges, rather than change the base tab to include the "legs" and bend them. That would be my second option.

Hi Dave,

Got it figured out, got some help from GTAC as well!

I added regular flanges and then used the "bend taper" taper command to taper the flanges.

Many thanks!

John

fyi, you can add taper to the sides of the flange in the internal sketch of the flange too, which may or may not do what you needed. Glad you got it!
