Sheet numbering in drafting NX 7.5...

I'm using the following attribute call out in my title block: "<W@SH SHEET NUMBER> OF <W@SH NUMBER OF SHEETS>"

It works fine.... unless I need to shuffle my sheet numbering in the browser.

Ex: Make sheet 003 number 001 etc...

If I do that the reporting in the title block wont update.

Is this fixable? What an annoying problem.

TIA
Dave

The sheet numbers assigned by the system are done so AS the sheets are created and they cannot be edited or altered. What you see in the Part Navigator are the 'Names' of the sheets which while they inherit the number when first created, editing them will ONLY change the name, not the order in which the system thinks the sheets were created.

Work around is to create new sheets, copy the information to it and then delete the old sheet. So sheet 3 can become sheet 1, but it is a hassle.

Thanks... I'll try shuffling the sheet data around next time. At least I know it's limitation that has to be considered.

Some of my work gets drafted... some not. So I dont do a steady diet and sometimes do things a little out of order.

If you close the drawing file and reopen it, doesn't that correct the sheet X of Y for you? I think that works in NX 6.
