Hello,
Im looking for some information on a specific matter.
AMSE CODE for stress value for material SA-36 before 1971. The code and stress values have changed since then. this pertains to Pressure vessels. if anyone has any info on this or any ideas where i can find this information out i would greatly appreciate it.

SA-36 may not have been permitted in earlier editions of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code for pressure retaining material.

In the 1968 and 1971 Code, the Safety factor was based on 4:1; i.e., Design allowable stress at 25% of the Mninimum Specified Tensile Strength of the material (SA-36)up to a 650F design temperature.

Looked in my pre-1999 Sect IID. Was supprised to find that SA-36 was an allowable Sect VIII material. Max Allowable Stress is 12.7 ksi, up to 650°F [not allowed above that temp].

Star for my research?

Sure Duwe6. Do people actually collect those stars?
