Does anyone else have issues with the security certificate of the siemens website?

Firefox gives an untrusted connection error.

OK, we upgraded servers over the weekend and if you say 'yes' and continue once on the BBS got to the 'Home' page and in the 'Misc' category there is a message from the BBS Admin explaining what happened and how to adjust to the brave new world of secure encrypted servers. Basically this is what you will find:

The BBS now uses https:// secure encryption

The BBS (

https://bbs.industrysoftware.automation.siemens.com),

was converted over from http:// to https:// (secure web) protocol over the weekend.

You may encounter a messages similar to:


This Connection is Untrusted


If you see this message, just click on the “I Understand the Risks” and install the certificate permanently on your system. You will no longer receive the warning.

Old bookmarks with;

http://bbs.industrysoftware.automation.siemens.com/vbulletin

will automatically route to;

https://bbs.industrysoftware.automat....com/vbulletin

Ok John, thanks for the explanation. I'm used to work with the https everywhere plugin for firefox and my browser usually tries to look for an https connection. I thought that the certificate was compromised. But you had a server update, good to hear that security and privacy is a priority for the Siemens company.
