New molds or recently cleaned molds need to be seasoned over in order to run properly. Seasoning over means I have to sit and watch the mold for a whole because parts will stick until it has been seasoned over. I have not been able to find out what exactly is happening when we season a mold. I am curious to know what happens down to the molecular structure of the surface of the metal.
Does anyone know about this or can anyone lead me in the right direction?
