Hello All,

I build a plate model with pin supports at two ends. The pin supports are simulated by rigid constrains to the reference points. I am trying to calculate the stress distribution when the pressure is applied on the top of the plate, the result is hard to converge. I think this should be very simple case, there must be something wrong with the model.

Could anyone help me check with the model. I put the INP file in the attachment.

Thanks a lot!

What kind of material you are using? what is the behavior of your material, i.e., is it elastic, elastic- plastic,...etc.

Thanks for your reply.

I have defined the plasticity of the material. Actually, I find out the problem. It is related to the BC. Thank you anyway.
