Hi
Many times when sketching I found myself
To build a center line this way
draw two lines converts them to reference
make them perpendicular to each other
make them middle to each other and equal in length.

Is their a simple way or a sketch built-in
to do that.

Thanks in advanced

Do your lines have to be equal in length and in the midpoint of each other? if you are using the curves for mirroring or referencing differences from, you dont need a nice "+" sign like you spend the time a to make. Just draw a square with the rectangle tool and convert it to reference. These lines will be perpendicular to each other, quickly trim off two of them and you have a reference "L" shape that will do the same thing as your "+", unless you need the line to be a certain length.

Alternatively, set up a CSYS in the area where you will be doing your sketching (before you start the sketch), and reference that instead of curves. Then if you move the CSYS, your curves should update, which I find is easier than editing curves in a sketch to do this.

Yes that's more simple then I do.
but I'm expected that nx supply a built-in
one like in drafting.

I'm very thank you

I'm not aware of a function like that, would be good to know if there is though.

When you create your sketch, it has a local coordinate system you can set up during the 'create sketch' dialog. You can specify X-axis, Y-axis, and origin point.

I would suggest (when possible) using that to create your mirror axes, and using the X/Y vectors as mirror lines.

I could be wrong but I think OP was asking if there was a way to make additional 2D axis systems in your sketch beyond the original, in a rapid, single click type operation, something that would produce a non-curve reference "Crosshair". But yes I do agree that using the original CSYS is best and I can't really imagine too many cases where you would need a bunch more than that on anyways.

Thanks to all.

Felix guess it I need a some of them.

when I build a footprint of a connector I'd like
to build it as the connector company datasheet show
That give me a check that I builds it right.

Thanks to all.

Cowski is that reuse library sketch curves will be
Belonged to my sketch or I'll have many sketches ?

Attached is a C# journal that creates a horizontal line and a vertical line at the center of selected arc. The line midpoints are constrained to the arc center and are converted to reference.

Hi ufsure
I'm very thank you !!!

I seen the code and I feel strongly that
It will work and I want to thank you as soon
As I seen your response.

Thank you very much.

I need this also for rectangular pads
I'll try to covert your code to vb and change it
To adapted rectangulars

Thank your again.
