Sketch Failure Message in NX

How do I either fix this or keep this from happening? I'm working with NX 1919.

Without knowing more but just from this message, I would guess that you somehow lost the sketch origin (either you suppressed something or maybe you modeled away something that caused the sketch origin point to be gone)

Open the Sketcher , start the reattach dialog , snap a new Origin Point. ( or the same)
This should cure the message.

Yes, I used a point from the edge of a cylinder to create another cylinder and Extruded and Subtracted the Extrude from the body which included the edge that I used the center point. I tried using a point from a different edge. No luck.
