Hi guys,

I have a question that has bothering me for awhile and can't seem to resolve. If I am in a component under the main assembly, and if I create a sketch on the face of my work part the sketch line color is always the same color as my face and I can never see the lines. In the customer defaults there is an option to pick the color you want the sketch lines to appear, but I don't see an option anywhere to inherit the face color. What's going on?

Are you saying that if you apply a sketch to a face which is say red, the sketch curves are red, and if you apply a sketch to a face which is say blue, the sketch curves are blue? All within the same part file?

Also, if you change the object display colour of the body on which you are applying the sketch, does the sketch also change colour?

Yes that is exactly what is happening to me. What ever the color of the face is the sketch would turn that color. Then if I created the sketch already and then changed the color of the face as soon as I exited sketcher the lines would change to whatever color I changed the face too.

That behavior sounds like a 'feature'. If you think not, please contact GTAC and have them investigate.
