Has anyone considered the effect on wind loading on an existing twin pitched roof with the post original construction addition of solar heating panels, which currently appears to be new growth industry in the UK in view of energy costs.
In particular,if I consider the effect of the paneling as to turn an otherwise smooth roof into a profiled/corrugated roof am I being too cautious ?

I think you are doing what proper. These things can influence significantly the different roofs either from vertical weight (from ballast, usually) to wind exposure.

Or snow drifting - I don't think that is common in the UK but it is here in the states.
