Special system per ASCE 7 with inclined columns?
Is any special system in the ASCE 7 compatible with inclined columns?
Thanks.

Something like this is what I'm thinking!. Possible?

Anything is possible, the ASCE and IBC have mechanisms for the design team to create structures that are not necessarily permitted by code. Depending on jurisdiction there are various ways to approach non-typical construction methods etc. This road is a specialized one, there is a lot of work that needs to be done to convince officials that your work is correct.

Anyway, what I am curious about is your thoughts specifically on this structure.

Do you have in mind any specific code provisions that would allow or dis allow this structure? Does the code say "No inclined columns" ??

Its also going to depend on what type of structure it is which you haven't included in your post. Is it a radio tower, a mall, a high rise???? This may make a huge difference in the answer.

I've found the answer on Design Guide 29.
