when splitting a body...."split body" dialog....if i am on "new plane" then hit the pulldown and then "show shortcuts arrow" then click it again to bring up the "yc" plane in the shortcut area then hit appy it will take the dialog box back to the way i opened it previously. none of the settings stay the same and the dialog resets. any way to save these dialogs as i leave them? the "save favorite" under the "*" in the dialog seams like it should work but dosn't

What NX version and maintenance pack are you talking about?
If you know this maybe Gtac website can give you an answer (known bug or not)

Normally this works OK except in the case of any 'New Plane' option that does NOT require the selection of some secondary set of geometry, such as an edge or face, to define the Plane. If you select any of the Plane options that does NOT require an additional selection, such as the three primary planes or the last option, the 'View Plane', it works fine. In fact, if you do use one of the does work, the dialog memory will retain your dialog layout even if you later do choose to use one of the problematic options. What you're seeing ONLY happens if you're using this function for the first time since the dialog had been reset. Note that this behavior is NOT unique to Split Body as it also behaves this way with other dialogs where you have the option to define a 'New Plane' such as 'Trim Body'.

That being said, I did find at least one function, 'Mirror Feature', where using the 'New Plane' option behaves correctly no matter what plane option you select, even one of the three primary plane such as 'YC'. Therefore I'm going to open a PR since if they can get it to work as expected in one dialog they should be able to make it work in all similar cases. If you wish, you can also contact GTAC and them open a PR for you as well as that will help speed things along if they get multiple PR's.
