Please help!

I am designing a concrete framed building. The foot print is approximatley 54' x52'. The building is one story, has a concrete framing system with masonry-in-walls and a poured concrete roof.

I modeled the roof using 1'x1' plates. The beams are made of 1' sections, and the beam nodes are shared by the plates adjacent to the beams. I assigned the appropriate thicknesses to the plates and the appropriate cross sections to the beams.

I will not be using STAAD to do the concrete design, but I will only use the program to give me the correct design moments.

When I look at the Global Moment distribution in the plates, I barely get any negative moment over my beams and the distribution looks questionible. I ran a second plate model and instead of beams I placed pinned supports. The differences in the moment distribution and max and min moments are HUGE.

Which Model should I use for the slab design? The beam/column moments and shears seem good. Any suggesttions?

Thanks
