Dear All,
Is it technically POSSIBLE to provide Steam Jacket on a lug style butterfly valve for operating conditions in my refinery to keep the valve body hot and avoid crystallization (solidification of the service fluid H2S which cause stuck for the valve)
Thanks in advance for your feedback & concern.

Due to the very short face-to-face dimension of triple-offset valves, the valve body walls may result well heated by the surrounding (upstream and downstream) pipe and by the service fluid inside itself, hence the actual need for steam jacket all around the lug or wafer style valve bodies should be evaluated case by case.
Perhaps flushing with a slightly pressurized inert gas (or heat tracing) the stem bearing and/or packing areas may be enough, in many cases, to avoid the build-up of sticking Sulphur compounds.
See, for example:

Hope this helps,
