Steel plate on reinforce concrete wall subjected to lateral force

Hi guys,

I was wondering if you could provide me with any worked example in regard to design steel plate on reinforced concrete wall to resist the horizontal force..

I already designed the plate to resist the horizontal force, but I am not sure, when I need to design the wall and the base, do I need to consider the maximum moment induced by the horizontal force, or just use minimum reinforcement.

Design for the actions induced by the force in case that creates a Reid forcing demand in excess of the minimums.

So what is the point to have the steel plate if it would not reduce the force on the wall?

Can you post a sketch and better describe what you are trying to do?
